     Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide customers with training, assistance and reporting necessary to accurately assess the condition and maintenance needs of Ohio's bridges.

Duties:

Bridge Inspection: Assure compliance with Ohio revised code 5501.47 and National Bridge Inspection Standards. Coordinate preparation of bridge inspection manual. Schedule and supervise statewide bridge inspection training schools for state, county, and municipal bridge inspections. Perform Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR) on inspection.

Maintenance Needs Assessment: Assure compliance with the department's Preventative Maintenance Policy 22-007(p). Provide technical support to assess structural damage in accordance to the department standard operating procedure OPS-109.
