  • Program Management of: Major New, Major Bridge, Major Rehab, Safety, MPO, Geological Site Assessment, Appalachia, Forest Highway and the Amish Buggy Program
     

  • Generation of the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP)
     

  • Lockdown of the annual construction program

Systems Planning
 

The Systems Planning Section is responsible for the analysis of system conditions with respect to the following:

  • Systems condition analysis needed for planning programs and projects

  • Pavement conditions on the three policy systems (Priority, General and Urban)

  • Bridge Conditions

  • Safety & Congestion (HSP, Hot Spot, Safety Corridor, Safety/Congestion Work Plan, etc.)

  • TRAC/Major New project application analysis and scoring

  • Performance Measurement (OPI results and quarterly exception reports)

  • Forecasting fiscal levels needed to meet system condition goals

  • Multi-Year Work Plan for pavement and bridges
