Brown County Railroad Crossing Improvement |

James E. Seney, Executive Director of the Ohio Rail Development
Commission (ORDC) requested today that the Public Utilities Commission
of Ohio (PUCO) direct the Norfolk Southern Corporation to install lights
and gates at the grade crossing of Brooks Malott Road (U.S. DOT AAR No.
481 783 Y) in Brown County, Ohio.
The ORDC works with the PUCO to streamline railroad safety projects with installations completed within one year. The ORDC distributes $15,000,000 in federal highway funds annually to improve safety at Ohio’s rail grade crossings.

Mr. Seney, said this installation is being improved as part of a
consolidation program conducted by the ORDC in cooperation with Norfolk
Southern Corporation.
