Van Wert County Railroad Crossing Improvements
James E. Seney, Executive Director of the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) requested today that the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) direct CSX Transportation to install lights and gates at four (4) railroad/highway county road grade crossings in Van Wert County.

Mr. Seney, said these crossings are being improved as part of a corridor program conducted by the ORDC in cooperation with the Van Wert County Engineer’s Office. This particular corridor project will result in profile improvements funded by Van Wert County, in conjunction with light and gate installations funded by the ORDC. The crossings be improved are: 

Middle Point Road, CR 185
Liberty Union Road, CR 77
Richey Road, CR 75
Dixon Cavett Road, CR 192
