The Ohio Department of Transportation's (ODOT's) Office of Equipment Management (OEM) has a mission to assist ODOT districts with managing their equipment fleet and maintenance needs by developing and providing budgetary requirements, specifications, technical support, and inventory control.  We are the liaison for procurement of all of ODOT's passenger vehicles, heavy equipment. We also manage the procurement and assembly of ODOT's snow plow dump trucks and their ancillary equipment.

EMS Procedures regarding Equipment Database uses and functions.

Create equipment related reports to evaluate District's performance in areas such as equipment usage, repair costs and downtime.

Train ODOT personnel in proper use of EMS.

Coordinate and perform Quality Assurance Review (QAR) to evaluated if Districts are using EMS properly and efficiently.
Manage the creation of technical specification for all equipment and components required for the assembly of ODOT's snow plow dump truck.

Coordinate snow plow dump trucks assembly from start to finish.  (i.e. receiving a District's order, procuring all the assembly components, liaison between ODOT and Ohio Penal Industries where the assembly is performed.  

Evaluated new and/or prototype equipment used on ODOT's snow plow dump trucks.

Manage the creation of technical specification for heavy equipment used by ODOT.

Manage the creation of technical specification for public transportations.

Coordinate and perform snow plow dump truck training for operators and mechanics.

Perform  Quality Assurance Review (QAR) to evaluate a District's snow plow dump truck condition.

MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT SALES:
